Yesterday’s pro-casino editorial in the Gleaner newspaper elicited an almost immediate response from one “P. Gordon”, decried the tone of the editorial and asks that the Gleaner advocate for casino gambling without scoffing at persons who would not wish to see this development in Jamaica.
Gordon also adopts a somewhat cynical tone, as he encourages the newspaper to follow its own logic and and equally advocate for a change in the law to facilitate legal brothels – since this would, no doubt, help to diversify the tourism product and increase the earning capacity of large numbers of Jamaicans (as is suggested regarding legal casinos in Jamaica).
