Today’s editorial in the Gleaner newspaper is aimed straight at those who are against legalizing casinos in Jamaica, from a moral perspective. It encourages Bruce Golding and the rest of the Government to hurry up and bring the proposed casino legislation before parliament, especially since the country has seemingly wasted decades “cowering at the tyranny of moralising fundamentalists”, instead of focusing on the prospect for economic development and lifting large numbers of Jamaicans out of poverty. An excellent prospect where casino investment is concerned.
